Known as the "Faster Rapper"

Probably one of the most, if not the most, low key rapper in the business, GLOC 9 is also one of the most popular in his chosen genre. It’s no secret to GLOC 9 aficionados that the guy
can easily rap up to 200 words per minute. So fast, yet so clear, that can be easily understood, thus the title, “fastest rapper”. The words he expresses in his music are truly heartfelt.

With all the awards and recognition he has received,
he remains modest and humble. He has bagged the
Rap Artist of the Year award from the Philippine Hip Hop Awards for four consecutive years 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

His self titled debut album under Star Records, a recording label of ABS-CBN turned Gold selling more than fifteen thousand copies. GLOC 9 either wrote or co - wrote, arranged and produced all the songs. The said album contained massive hits such as “Isang Araw”, “Jologs”, “Sayang”, “Hinahanap ng Puso”, “Simpleng Tao” and the duet with Cookie Chua entitled “Bakit”. The latter was performed at the “Himig Handog Love Songs Competition” on ABS-CBN.

“Banal na Aso” is also part of the album which is the theme of the TV series from ABS-CBN “Nginig”. The song ”Isang Araw” received the “Best Rap Recording” award from both Katha and Awit Awards. In 2003, he received another Awit Award on its
17th year for his Christmas song “Pasko Na Naman”.
In 2004, he received an award from MTV Pilipinas for
“VIDEO OF THE YEAR” for the song “Sayang” and in 2005, he bagged “FAVORITE URBAN VIDEO” from MYX Music Awards for the song “Tula”.

“Ako…Si Gloc 9” is his second album released in 2005 under the same label featuring collaborations with DJ MOD, Keith Martin (international R&B recording artist) and Master Rapper Francis Magalona. Star Records has also included him in various albums such as “Star Power Hits Vol.3”, “Kristala” and the massive hit “Pinoy Ako” album of the Pinoy Big Brother television show.

Gloc-9 released his third album entitled “DIPLOMA" under the major label SONY-BMG Philippines.
